Architects is the Sustainable Design Consultant
for the gymnasium, band room, exercise room addition
and new student commons/meeting space and offices.
Working with William Tao & Associates, we have
finalized the design recommendations based on an
in-depth daylighting analysis evaluating the different
needs of each space. The goal of the daylighting
is to eliminate the use of artificial lighting wherever
possible during school hours and to reduce the heating
load on the system. We have also evaluated the use
of geothermal heat pumps for the HVAC system and
building integrated photovoltaics on south fenestration
coupled with shading structures. |
