H+B served as the LEED consultant on the three-story, class A American Nevada Corporation CCVI building. The project is the first LEED-Core and Shell Gold certified building in Nevada. It also includes a 422 space parking garage. The multi-level 422 space garage provides shaded parking providing relief from the blazing Las Vegas sun for occupants of this and an adjacent building. The top level of the garage includes over sixty solar electric (photovoltaic) panels which provides over 1% of the building’s electricity and also doubles to provide shaded parking. The building is energy efficient saving almost 17% of the energy and over 40% of the water normally used in a similar sized new office building.
