Nevada Cancer Institute - Support Services Building

The Nevada Cancer Institute has two new buildings in Summerlin, Nevada just west of Las Vegas. The NVCI Support Services Building houses administrative functions for the Institute and opened in May 2009. It is a 3 story 102,000 sq. ft. building with a 525 space parking garage. The garage which provides shaded parking serves their growing 3 building campus. This building as well as the entire campus is a non-smoking campus. The building saves almost 20% of the energy and over 40% of water compared to a typical new code compliant office building. It features a highly reflective Energy Star rated cool-roof, and contains almost 14% of recycled content, and over 31% of locally extracted and processed materials. This project received LEED NCv2.2 Silver certification.
