| Our
own Todd Wilson has moved on to not-so-greener, more
overcrowded pastures in the Big Apple. Rest assured
however, his pickup truck will live on in Shannon
County Missouri. Thank
you for your dedication and hard work, and best of
luck to you in all future endeavors. We will
miss you dearly, despite your inarticulate grasp of
all other languages. For anyone wishing to contact
Todd he will soon be taking up root at "Flank"
an architecture firm in the heart of Manhatten.
Well... we're not really sure where it is in relation
to the "boroughs", we're just glad he left
his truck for us. |

Hellmuth+Bicknese
has been determined the successful proposer for the
Sustainable
Design Charrette in Springfield, Illinois
by the Western Illinois Regional Council (WIRC) in
partnership with the Illinois Environmental Protection
Agency (IEPA).
The
Charrette will look at the sustainable redevelopment
of a 19 acre Brownfields site just to the northeast
of downtown Springfield. Pillsbury operated a flour
mill on the site until 5 years ago when the property
was acquired by Cargill and soon mothballed.
Our
role is to look at sustainable infrastructure improvements
to the adjacent Pillsbury Mills Neighborhood and most
importantly to stimulate ideas for the sustainable
redevelopment of the site. Consideration will be given
to the historical/cultural significance of the mill
and silo structures as well as the value of the site
without the buildings.
Bell
Boyd, a leading law firm in Chicago, Illinois will
be looking at the legal and financial challenges in
developing the site as part of the overall Charrette
process.
